In-ground oil tank

Can anyone share recent cost of digging up or filling in an in-ground oil tank? Thanks!

In-ground oil tank

We filled ours 2 years ago. It was included in our conversion so I have no clue what the breakout was.

Re: In-ground oil tank

We were just quoted $4,000 for abandonment with foam and a new above ground tank with installation.

Beato in Baldwin - they were recommended by our plumber when we converted to gas

Digging it up is really expensive.

Most people just have it legally abandoned by having it filled by a licensed company and the proper certificates filed with the county.

$4K sounds very high to me. In my experience, the cost of legally abandoning the in-ground tank and installing an above ground tank is in the $2K to $2500 range.
