Low Fluid- induction?
Has anyone been induced due to low fluid? If so, do you know how low it was?

Re: Low Fluid- induction?
I had a diagnosis of Oligohydramnios (low fluid) with my 2nd pregnancy. My levels were between 4 and 5cm for the last 8 weeks of my pregnancy. I was in the hospital several times when the levels were low so I could get IV fluids and so that they could use the more sensitive machines to look for pockets of fluid. I was also on bedrest from 32 weeks until delivery. I also had NST 2x per week to check the baby's movement and heart rate. No cause was ever found and my dd was healthy. I didn't have it with my 3rd pregnancy either.

Re: Low Fluid- induction?
Thank you! My level is 5.8 at 40w2d and my doctor is still deciding to wait rather than induce. I know anything above 5 is technically passing but I'm still getting a little concerned and anxious. I still feel the baby moving and NST scans came back fine, so I'm trying to not let it worry me. I go back first thing Thursday morning for my third NST/ultrasound. I think at that point I'm really going to push for induction unless there's a major rise in my levels. I just don't see why not since I'm full term. I was really surprised and disappointed she didn't send me in today.

Low Fluid- induction?
I was. I don't know the number but they said they needed a 2cm pocket on the sono and it was under 2. It was fine a week prior. I had no idea I was leaking fluid.

How far along were you? No fluid leak over here, so not really sure of the cause.

Low Fluid- induction?
I was induced because of low fluid at 40w2, and I was either 4.9 or 4.8 - not sure but the dr. told me that I was just hairline under what they consider to be ok.

Re: Low Fluid- induction?
Thanks everyone- I spoke with my aunt who is an L&D nurse and she was saying it depends on the doctor and hospital. Her hospital would've induced at this point but my hospital is a bit more conservative and not quick to intervene unless necessary, which is something I do generally like about them since the idea of a c-section scares the pants off me. She did ease my fears a bit but I'm ready to meet my daughter already!!

Low Fluid- induction?
Yes, with Hailey it was under 4. I don't remember tho.
Also with Jillian when I went in for the induction they decided to bump me to the top of the list because of low fluid, also under 4.

Re: Low Fluid- induction?
Just wanted to update- my fluid was at 3.9 yesterday morning so I was sent straight to the hospital for induction. It was surprisingly fast- 6 hours start to finish! Baby Ava is here and healthy!
