How do u stay calm between doc visits?
I'm 13w3d tomorrow and I have my next appt no US ?? But I'm sure we will hear a heart beat. How do u stay calm and reassure yourself all is ok? I'm so nervous and anxious between visits and there 4 weeks between right now. I thought after 12 I'm ok but lately I keep reading horror stories. This is my rainbow baby and my true blessing a little girl after 2 boys and already I'm so in love

I personally think you start to feel more relaxed once you can feel the baby moving around in there. You'll get there soon!

How do u stay calm between doc visits?
I know exactly what you mean. I just try my hardest not to think about it. Next week I have a 16 week check up but there will be no ultrasound but we will get to hear the heartbeat which for me is better. 20 weeks seems so far away though to get another view. We were also told that the next ultrasound after that won't be until 32 weeks. I know that something could happen at any point during the pregnancy but I think once we get passed the 20 week mark I will be able to relax a little more.

Re: How do u stay calm between doc visits?
I know this doesn't help, but I don't lol. I'm 14w5d and am ready to crawl out of my skin waiting for my appointment next week. I don't have any reason to think that anything is wrong, and I don't, I just want to know that he's doing well in there!
I think (and hope) it will get better once we can feel them moving around! I actually woke up so excited in the middle of the night last night bc I had a dream that I could feel him moving around when I put my hands on my belly. I woke up and sat there with my hands on my belly for like five minutes and went back to sleep disappointed hahaha. Im gonna take that as baby's way of telling me he's fine :)

Once you can feel her moving around in there it will be much easier to relax. I'm 14w3d and I've been fortunate enough that I started feeling movement as early as 11 weeks this time around. Now at 14 weeks I feel definite kicks here and there. It's so reassuring in between visits. You'll get there soon too!!

You can purchase a doppler to do your own testing between appointments.

How do u stay calm between doc visits?
I just try to remeber that worrying has absolutely no benefits. It's not a cure or remedy and usually just makes things worse.

Yes, this. I try to use this in everyday life. Worrying is completely useless, just causes stress which is bad. When I catch myself worrying I say in my head "is this going to help anything?" if not, then I try my hardest to put it away.

I'm 29 weeks and still have freakouts if I dont feel him move for a day....so we have the doppler that has DEFINITELY been a life saver throughout the pregnancy. It allows us to hear his heartbeat and calms my nerves.

Re: How do u stay calm between doc visits?
I can totally relate. This is our miracle baby and every Dr visit so far I am imagining them saying something bad. I just can't help it and I am trying my best but after 3 years of TTC its like too good to be true. After a Dr appt I feel ok since it was good news, then a few days leading to the next I get anxious again. I have no advice but just know your not alone and I am still very early too.

Re: How do u stay calm between doc visits?
Put stock in the more likely scenario that if you made it to this point, you will most likely be fine. Sure, things happen. It happened to me, actually. But for MOST people, once you get to the second trimester, it's a sign that things will be fine.
Plan something fun for halfway through so you have something else to focus on- like a day trip with your family.

Re: How do u stay calm between doc visits?
Every week is a new milestone, better odds, and it gets easier and easier, especially as the appointments become more frequent and you get closer to your due date. Just listen to your body- don't hesitate to call your OB if you feel like something is off. But like pp said- making t this far is a great sign. Good luck!!
