How much did you have to pay out of pocket when you gave birth?
DH was a resident/fellow at the hospital I delivered at for both my sons so we paid $0 for both births. This is the first time we will not be delivering at a hospital that DH works at and will have a co-pay.
I think our max per year is $2000 so I'm assuming we will have to pay $2000 out of pocket.
How much did you have to pay out of pocket for birth of your child?

How much did you have to pay out of pocket when you gave birth?
$250. I actually was planning to quit my job while pregnant until we found out that with DH insurance we would have had to pay 2600 before anything was picked up.

How much did you have to pay out of pocket when you gave birth?
I paid a $20 copay the first time I saw my in-network obgyn and that's it. Never paid a dime to the hospital as the birth (and I ended up having an ecs) was covered by my insurance. I delivered at NYU.
You should call your insurance to find out.

I think it was $500 copay for the hospital
We have no deductibles on our plan

How much did you have to pay out of pocket when you gave birth?
For my first, $500 for the hospital and $0 to the OB. All covered. For my second and now my third, I will have to pay $3200. My company switched to a plan with deductibles and once the ded is met, 10% co-insurance. Totally sucks.

$400 only because there are no in network anesthesiologists at the hospital I delivered at. That's my out of network fee.

I paid $200- it was my scheduled co-pay for childbirth. Call your insurance company- in addition to a co-payment some insurance companies require pre certification for childbirth.

I think it was like $600? I can't remember, but when they sent the bill of what we would've paid without insurance, I happily forked over the couple hundred. It was like $18k with no insurance. Yikes!

$2,100 for my first, $4,800 for my second. The insurance company basically said whatever your out of pocket deductible is expect to pay that.

I don't remember paying anything. Although I did get a private room each time and I think it was something like $700.

Ugh I'm dreading the bills. I know my OB already billed my insurance $39k for my csection. I paid a $250 copay to the hospital upon my discharge
