Moms of 2 or more -- getting baby on schedule
Hi all -
DS is 27 months and DD is 2 months old. I'm getting ready to go back to work in the next few weeks (part time 2 days) and was wondering when you started being able to have more of a loose schedule for your younger babies. I sort of don't remember with my son but it was also easier because he was the only one. My daughter is still quite sleepy during the day but doesn't really have a schedule. I try to put her down upstairs in the crib for naps but they never last long. She ends up napping on the go or in my moby wrap.
Thanks!

Moms of 2 or more -- getting baby on schedule
For a very long time dd2 had to go with the flow around Dd1s schedule. I was always waking her to take dd1 to school or pick her up. It probably wasn't until maybe 6 months that dd2 was on any loose schedule. Poor second kid lol

Just now at 9 months DD#2 is on a semi-schedule. At times it has to be flexible bc we have a 2.5 year old but she is also pretty go with the flow and will nap in the car etc.

This except it really wasn't until dd2 was a year that she got on a consistent schedule. Even then there were days we had something like dd1's dance class right on the middle of nap time. My first was always on a consistent schedule from 6 or 7 weeks old. Crazy how different the second time can be.

Neither of my kids had schedules. I fed on demand and followed their cues for naps. They eventually developed a loose sleeping/eating pattern, but we were usually on the go and they could sleep anywhere (except the crib which they both hated).

We had a routine, but never a schedule. I work FT so the kids get woken up when it's time to leave for day care.

pretty much around 3-4 months there was a noticeable schedule for each of them.
