Changing Dr within the same practice?
Hi Everyone.
After two unsuccessful IVF I'm considering changing Drs.
Is changing Dr within the same practice a no no?
I go to LIIVF due to insurance "coverage" and location and I was reading goods reviews about Dr. Pena.
Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

Changing Dr within the same practice?
You can do whatever you are comfortable. People change Drs within a practice. Some Drs within one practice have the same thought process and way of treating, just know that, but not all. Some are more aggressive and vs versa. GL

Re: Changing Dr within the same practice?
Honestly, this is your chance at a happy ending. Don't even think twice. If a cycle doesn't work, and your doctor doesn't change the protocol or do further testing, move on. Infertility issues are heart breaking, time consuming and expensive. Don't waste and tears, money, or time to spare a doctor's feelings. Good luck!!

It's totally up to you, don't feel bad about it. I'm sure that it happens all the time.

Re: Changing Dr within the same practice?
Nope, I did it. I'm sure it happens a lot more than you think.
I was at LIIVF for almost 3 years. Numerous IUI's, 2 IVF's and 2 FET's.
Saw Kreiner at first. Pg with twins. Miscarried both a week apart....He was so unsympathetic and that bothered me...ALOT.
I stayed with them and started seeing Brenner.
I am officially done with them. Still no baby. ??
Saw Pena many years ago when he was part of East Coast Fertility (before they merged). He was my very first IF doctor. I've seen close to a dozen. He probably has a better bedside manner. But I feel they're just all the same.
Who was your Dr there?

Changing Dr within the same practice?
I'm seeing Dr. Keninsberg right now. Before I went To RSNY and saw Dr Saketos. And Before that Dr. Palter At Gold Coast.
I just haven't found a Dr. that Really cares...

Re: Changing Dr within the same practice?
It's totally your choice and decision. Don't ever feel bad to advocate for yourself!! If their feelings get hurt they'll get over it, trust me. Dr. Pena is actually my doctor and I really love him. I have my son because of him. I've had many meltdowns and tantrums in front of Dr. Pena and he's always been there for me whether it was to lend an ear or snap me back into reality. So I recommend him. Good luck hun!
