Twin bed or covert crib to a full?
Did you get your child a twin bed after a toddler bed, or convert the crib to a full? Pros and cons of each? What age did you switch? If you bought a twin- where did you get it (and how much was it if you're willing to share)? If you converted- did you order the conversion kit?
DS1 just turned 4 and is out of room in his toddler bed. He has a large room, so size isn't an issue, however, I would make the same choice with ds2 and his room is set up in a way that having a full bed might be cumbersome. Just curious to know what everyone did.

Twin bed or covert crib to a full?
Dd1 went from her crib to a full size bed (conversion kit) at 3 1/2.
Dd2 will be the same...and hopefully not until 3 1/2 too.

We plan to convert both our cribs into the full size beds. That's why we got the forever cribs.

We went to full size at 3.5. No regrets. Best use of the crib! Ordered the conversion kit back when we bought the crib. Didn't have much support though so we added more wood slats to support the mattress. We have the sorelle Verona crib.

Still in a crib but eventually we will go to twins beds. Crib has some teeth marks and only 1 kid has enough room for a full bed.

Twin bed or covert crib to a full?
DD is almost 2 and we're gonna keep her in her crib until she starts trying to escape -- she sleeps beautifully and I'm of the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" mentality. With that being said, we'll likely go straight from the crib to a twin size bed as that is what will fit in her room. Don't plan on spending a lot of money on it -- probably will go to Bobs or some place similar.

Twin bed or covert crib to a full?
DD1 was in the crib until 2 yo. Didnt see the point in paying for a conversion kit for a toddler bed or a separate toddler bed so we converted her crib straight into a full size bed and did just fine in that. Conversion kit was brought when we switched her-- the kit was about $150 bucks or so. (but we were lucky-- the compnay discontinued the furniture line so if we had waited another 6 months we would not have had the option to convert- apparently this happens often so check to make sure you even have the option)
DD2 was in a crib until last week (almost 3) she kept wanting to sleep in her sister's big girl bed so we got her a bed. I had bought her a very inexpensive crib since i saw that my younger DD's conversion had gotten chipped etc. I now got her a full set -- bed dressers etc.
Conversion its easier and less expensive probably but you have less options and the baby years could damage the crib so its not as nice when you convert it.
Also if you bought a set with your crib-- the converted bed matches with your current furniture but if you get a different bed that may not match as well. So i think it depends on what else you have going on with your furniture.

Twin bed or covert crib to a full?
We went from crib to twin at 2 years. His room is tiny so that's all the room we had. I also did t want to buy the conversion kit for the crib and then spend more money for a twin bed.

We bought a separate toddler bed for like $40 at Sears. It was Disney's Cars and he loved it. When he was ready for a big boy bed, we converted his crib to the full size bed since we had bought the rails when we bought the crib.

Re: Twin bed or covert crib to a full?
Getting twin beds for my kids because they'll be sharing rooms & our bedrooms are too small for full size beds for multiple kids per room. Might do bunks when they get older. Haven't bought the beds themselves yet but I have the twin mattresses ready to go. Probably by the end of the year my oldest ds will be out of his crib and into a bed and the 2 older kids will share a room, and the baby will get one of the cribs.

Twin bed or covert crib to a full?
DS will be 3 in April and is still in his crib. He'll eventually get a full size bed. I like that the bigger bed can serve as an additional guest bed when we have visitors. (We live far away from family).

Twin bed or covert crib to a full?
Dd will get a twin bed- I did not get a crib that converts to a full bed bc I felt it would not give her enough open space in the room.

Re: Twin bed or covert crib to a full?
DD went from crib to full and DS went from co sleeping to a queen (we bought a king and just gave him our queen instead of buying a new bed - thankfully pottery barn kids sells kids sheets in queen )

Re: Twin bed or covert crib to a full?
We converted the cribs to full beds. My kids hated the cribs and loved the beds. DS1 was 2y3m and DS2 was2.5 when they went into full beds.

Twin bed or covert crib to a full?
Small room so we went with a twin. We got the frame and guardrail at Pottery Barn (saved 20% by opening the credit card) and the mattress at Sleepy's. All in it was probably $500.
