Please recommend your crib mattress? I believe I just need something firm. It seems like they all got good reviews and prices vary so much (anywhere from $100- $300).

Though I'm ten days away from baby's due date, I'm really pleased with my Newton Wovenaire. Unlike most other mattresses, it's very cushy rather than firm BUT remarkably safe for baby as they claim it's the first "breathable" mattress on the market. So if baby were to flip in the middle of the night, facedown, he/she won't suffocate. I will sleep better knowing this. Plus hopefully so will baby since the mattress feels so comfy in comparison to many other mattresses I researched.

It's also totally washable, thus if baby has an "accident" of any variety, the entire mattress can be hosed down in the shower and will dry in 6 hours time. The mattress is also 100% eco....no yucky toxic chemicals....plus is made in the U.S.A.

Downside? It ain't cheap. Retails for $300 (installment plan an option) but if you sign up for their mailing list you can nab $25 off. Don't believe my fella and I paid for any shipping, either. Plus you'll receive a 100-nights free trial that begins not when you purchase the mattress but on baby's b-day. So if you don't like it it can be returned free of charge, no questions asked.

Some reviews which encouraged me to take the plunge:

P.S. Apparently parents like the Wovenaire so much the company will soon be manufacturing a larger mattress for adult beds.

Congrats and good luck!

:)
