Feeling Frustrated

It’s been a long while since I’ve posted here. I am happy to say that I have two beautiful and healthy children now. My DH and I were looking to add to our family with a 3rd child. I have PCOS which has caused my whole cycle to go out of whack...we have had to go the route of IUi this time around. This is now my 5th round. I tested tonight with a First Response (Sat would be my 2ww end date). And tonight it was a negative....is there a chance it’s too early? I am also on antibiotics...is there a chance that could impact getting pregnant? I know I should feel grateful for what I have but I cannot help but feel frustrated and sad if this round doesn’t work again. Thanks for reading and any advice/support you can offer would be appreciated!

Re: Feeling Frustrated

For me Tuesday would be too early to test. The earliest I've gotten a positive is day 12. I don't have experience with iui's but just wanted to say hang in there! It sucks! It took me over a year with a 10 week miscarriage in between before conceiving my third.

As far as the antibiotics did you ask the RE about it? The only time I was told not to try was when I was on doxycycline for possible lymes. But they never said it would hurt my chances just that those antibiotics wouldn't be good early in pregnancy.

FRER is usually the most accurate the earliest. It still might be too early though. I'd wait until tomorrow or Friday and test again. Good luck! I hope this is it for you! Chat Icon Chat Icon

ETA: I have gotten a VERY faint positive on FRER on day 10, but it was so faint I thought for sure it wasn't actually there.

Did you test again? I think my prior positives were at 14DPO. I always start testing too early and then I tell myself there is still a chance and I reread the statistics on the test box. Each time I get a negative test, it makes me sad even when I know I shouldn't start testing yet. I can't help it, I'm so hopeful that I can't wait to test.
