S/O Stupid things you did as a kid or teenager
To spin off from the Halloween thread I thought I’d start this one.
For me:
Going into the woods with friends at night and a keg. They found a dead body in these woods a few years ago.
Getting shaving cream can ready for Halloween. Lighting the original nozzle and sticking a pin in it and using a lighter to burn the plastic. Aerosol and fire do not mix.
Standing outside 7-11s asking people to buy beer for us.
I have plenty more, but I’m blabbing too much.

hey i like yours!!
i think as i got into the late teens i stayed in on Halloween because there was some kooky crazy in my neighborhood.
i remember "bombing" friends with shaving cream and eggs in socks in our park and the staircases of our buildings. shaving cream in the eye....never a feeling you forget

S/O Stupid things you did as a kid or teenager
So many....there was a door leading to the hallway of our apartment building to exit. I would sneak out at night to meet friends. Thought my parents had no idea until one day I came home from school and my dad was drilling the door closed. No discussion just action on his part...
Wearing multiple coats and exercising as a pre-teen...
Mixing soda, milk, juice, ketchup, and a few other liquid items from the fridge before school one day to try to get out of going. I thought for sure it would make me sick. It didn't. Just went to school with a very bloated stomach. To this day stomach of steel...

Ahh kegs in the woods. Those were the days! We literally had to run from the cops over the abandoned railroad tracks in Forest Park- more than once! Though by 16/17, we were frequenting a sh!tty dive bar where they never asked for ID... where my friend got stabbed incidentally.
And good old "Super Deli" that never ID'd for beer or cigarettes. Kids can't get away with anything now it seems. We had it dangerously easy.
I got a tattoo at a shady place in the village at 16.. told me he didn't want to see my fake ID.
Soooo many things I look back on and think I'm probably lucky to be alive.

Re: S/O Stupid things you did as a kid or teenager
I was terrible terrible.. I always thought I was good teen because I did so well in school. But now that I look back I did so much dumb sh!t at a young age. I would kill my son & nieces.
One time my cousins dared me to ring a bell and say trick or treat in April. God bless the woman who opened the door, she was so sweet and said "You are a little early sweetie" something to that effect.
Sneaking peoples left over drinks at family parties
Hanging out on the LIRR train tracks drinking and just doing more dumb sh!t.

That was our standard drink. I think the best part was 6 of us trying to put together $1.50 to buy it. Wow how times have changed.

Back in the day there was SOOO many bars that either didn't even ask for ID, or barely looked- you could pretty much show a library card and get in. I remember we used to go to quite a few in Huntington Village that would let us in with no questions asked. At the time one place-Finley's I think- had one of those scanners they put the license in to check if it was fake. That was state of the art at the time and they were like the only place that had it. I remember we were all excited to finally turn 21 so we could go there with REAL id. LOL

LOL ok if we're talking about STUPID...my friends boyfriend was cheating on her, so we heard if we put sugar in his gas tank it would mess up his car. So we snuck over to his car one night with a 5lb bag of sugar and absolutely no idea what to do. We tried pouring the sugar into his gas tank but it doesn't work that way and we found out the sugar needs to be diluted, so suffice to say, we didn't really end up doing anything.
But my friend found a butter knife in my car (I was waitressing at Applenbees ) and scratched up his car instead.

Saaaaaaaaaaaaaaame. There were the drug times- luckily I never got into anything hardcore like coke. But I smoked a lifetime's worth of pot (I still consider myself to be a TOP NOTCH blunt roller. ) and occasionally did shrooms and E. I was soooo lucky I had a reliable dealer and never had a bad trip. I didn't realize back then how lucky I was. I'd murder my DD if I found out she was doing ecstasy- that sh!t is so dangerous. Weed? I think should be legal but that's another thread....

Got into a car with a stranger. I am surprised I did not end up dead in a ditch somewhere.

This is how we got around back in the day! I swear. I say it all the time... the stuff we did, I would be dead 20x over in today's world.
I remember one night, my friend Lauren and I were walking around 86th street (Brooklyn) and this car full of guys stopped to talk to us. We got in, drove to Manhattan and wound up at someones apartment with a larger group of people. I was 16?, she was a year younger than me. I remember it clearly because I accidentally threw my gum out in an URN!! We realized it and made an excuse to GTFO. We ran out laughing hysterically and got on the subway back home.
We got into cars with strangers literally every weekend. That was part of hanging out. Walking around certain areas where guys drove around in their cool cars and picked up girls.

I hitchhiked in Brussels because my friends and I couldn’t find our hotel because we got so drunk and high in a park.
Someone who isn’t me (SWIM) almost got caught trying to bring pot across the border of the Netherlands to Germany. SWIM had been out partying all weekend at clubs and it was time to go home to their country. SWIM wanted to bring it back with them because of lack of good weed in their dorm. So SWIM asked a Dutch friend how to do this. He said put it in your underwear; they aren’t allowed to check there.
So this person did just that. About to board the train home, a dog goes straight for the crotch and won’t go away. Then the police came to search the backpack. The police knew what was up but they couldn’t do anything about it. However, this triggered customs to be on the train for most of the 6 hour ride home. Completely nerve wracking— and DUMB!

Hahahaha, I remember the kegs in forest park. And there was a bar on Woodhaven we used to frequent (never checked our IDs) that had ladies night on Thursdays which meant Fridays were rough. Where did someone get stabbed??
Our cigarettes and beer came from Otto's. DD has a toy octopus she named Otto and every time she says it's name I think of coronas and parliament lights.
