Disney combined with Universal
Would you say there is enough for an almost 5 yr old to do at Universal & IOA? Enough to take 2 days out of a Disney trip to go? If so, Disney property or not? I am assuming Disney hotels do not provide transportation to Universal, LOL. I have never done Universal with my kids, just Disney. Asking for a friend.

Re: Disney combined with Universal
I would suggest staying at Disney and hopping over to Universal. That way you get the benefits of staying on property with Disney which include booking your FastPasses 60 days out vs 30. That can make a big difference.
I've taken my little one at 3 to US and IOA and there isn't too many rides but he enjoyed walking around and experiencing the different areas and characters. We're going back again when he's 5. We're huge HP fans, Seuss and Marvel so we really love it there.
If you need any help booking your trip or have any other questions I'm happy to help.

Re: Disney combined with Universal
Definitely check the height requirements. They are strict on them and this will effect your experience.
I’d actually split up your stay if you can do 2 days at the parks (and one at the hotel pool) since the resorts for Universal are much nicer and have better benefits than Disney. You can stay at a Disney resort for the Disney part of you want those fast passes super early.
ETA: Uber is pretty cheap in Florida.

Disney combined with Universal
We went in November with my almost 9 and 6 year old.
My 6 year old is 48 inches so he could go on everything but two rides. Both boys loved it - my 9 year old loved it more than Disney.
We spent two days there and there was plenty to do. We had their fast passes so we walked on pretty much everything - except one of the Harry Potter rides.
Disney does not provide transportation there.
