Boy potty training help. Desperate

So my son is 3. He trained 2 months before turning 3 in May. He did really good. Including pooping. The past few weeks I’m dealing with wetting his pants in e dry paid of undies all day long. Sometimes it’s a little. Sometimes soaking through. What do I do? I can’t keep up the laundry like this. Today alone with changed undies 5 times and shorts 3. He just doesn’t care. He’s my youngest with 2 girls that were perfectly trained from the beginning. What do I do?

He's only 3. I don't think he understands caring or not. And every kid is different. Try not to get stuck on when 1 was trained over the other. I'd say he's not completely ready. I would put him in pull-ups.

Boy potty training help. Desperate

I would go back to pantsless for a few days, kind of like a reset.

No way would I go back to pull ups.

With my boys they would get so occupied with playing that they ignored the feeling to go to the bathroom. I would have to take them every couple of hours instead of waiting for them to tell me.

that's a good idea. I will NOT go back to diapers. that's insane. he is capable to even go by himself. so far today he's been good. He's totally ready we just have these stubborn days for what ever reason. He was doing so well, then here and there small accidents but he also knows b/c he will tell me. Some days it's worse than others
today is a good day so far!!!
thank you

Have him be responsible for changing out of his wet clothes and putting in the hamper and cleaning up any floor mess.

Re: Boy potty training help. Desperate

hate to tell you this. this was basically my son. I legit had to make sure i carried around 5 extra pairs of underwear and shorts/pants with me at all times where ever I went. (i was fortunate enough to have tons of underwear and clothes but i still did laundry every couple of days)
He is turning 6 in November and he still has accidents. I say he is trying to kill me or put me in a mental institution. He can do it but if he is busy he rather pee his pants then stop to use the bathroom.

We luckily now go through long patches before he has any accidents.

What worked to get him to stop doing it daily was honestly pushing him. NOTHING else worked. i didn't do extreme punishment or anything but i did do whatever i knew would effect him the most, take something away, put him in his room for minute etc.

thank you. He just doesn't care he wets himself. It's insane lol. Yesterday we went to a ducks game. He peed in his car seat there, soaked through, changed him, 5 mins later he was wet again. He just doesn't say anything anymore. he used to, I don't know what happened. I had undies in my bag and then he was dry the rest of the night. We went potty a few times to try and sometimes did go, but it's maddening I have to tell him when he has the language to tell me and used to tell me. Right now we are home so he's just in undies. I'm at my wts end. Hes my last and I thought we were done with babies

yes my son too he can pee then within 20 minutes pee again like he did just pee 20 minutes ago its crazy.

I did get him checked at a urologist to make sure everything was ok. His bladder was fine from the sonogram. I probably should take him in again for more test to see if he is not fully releasing when he goes my friend suggested it since her DD constantly has to go to the bathroom so she had gotten her checked but I havent yet.
