Bringing food into Dutch Wonderland?

I know their website says no outside food or drinks, but I know the past two times we went there (in 2014 and 2015) the guard didn't care about snacks and waterbottles in my bag when he did a bag check.

I'm wondering how much they don't care. Can we bring in sandwiches? Has anyone had the guards tell them they can't bring food in?

How much of a pain is it to leave the park to picnic if we have to?

Bringing food into Dutch Wonderland?

I was just there today. We had a double stroller and I had a huge snack back underneath. At the check I gave them my pocketbook and diaper bag to check. They didn't care what was underneath my stroller and I didn't volunteer it.

Bringing food into Dutch Wonderland?

They barely checked our bags - I brought in squeeze pouches, snack packs, and water bottles.

I did this on our last trip.. And I am happy they didn't check as there was one restaurant open in the park when we went last Monday!

We tried eating there last Halloween time and it was AFWUL, the worst food I've had since high school cafeteria food, I'd much rather grab some sandwiches from somewhere and bring them in!

The food is barely edible there.

We did that the first time we went, it worked out great.
This time we went with another family and decided not to leave the park and come back. Food selection there sucks. the food looks bad too. We had large snacks there of Nathans hot dogs, fries and hot pretzels. They were better than the rest of the food.

We brought a cooler in with waters (it was REALLY HOT) with a pouch and some goldfish.
Guard didn't check much.

Im not much of a rebel, I'd probably skip bringing in sandwiches due to their policy. One thing to push the limits, another to completely disregard the rules.

We packed sandwiches and drinks in a soft cooler and shoved on the bottom of the double stroller. The guard barely bent over to look at what I had jam packed under my stroller. The food option are terrible there....even the ice cream tasted off.

Even bottle of water and snacks aren't allowed. We saw people going back to their cars with water. Get better food and people won't have to sneak in food...

I wrapped my water bottles in our towels for the waterpark. Worked like a charm! Chat Icon
