No one in my family (me, DH or 2 kids) have any allergies to food. I have severe allergies to pollen, dust, animal dander, etc.
There are also no food allergies on either side of our families.
But I do know plenty of people outside of our family with peanut allergies, milk allergies, etc.

I have a shellfish allergy but I did not develop it until I was 28. All was well and I ate it ( and loved it by the way) up until that point and then it came on out of nowhere.
same here. i used to eat it until i was 14 yrs old and loved it- got anaphylatic shock and was rushed to the hospital.

Thanks Ladies...I appreciate it. Makes me very conscious of food allegies. I am also a teacher so the kids have a whole range of allergies. The list I get in the beginning of the school year is SCARY.

My DH is severely allergic to eggs and also allergic to shrimp, cats, dogs and roaches (ew).
My mom is allergic to nuts, strawberries - most acidic fruits and has pretty bad seasonal allergies.
So far my kids and I are in the clear.
