Freaking out-please calm me down: Update!

I spilled a few of those Renuzit air freshener ball thingys, and one of my cats got a hold of one. She threw the ball up. About two hours later, she threw up again, and it was colored the color of the ball. When I called the vet, she asked if she threw the ball up, and she said that she is fine. I looked online, and it appears that everything is fine from that point of view too.

She threw up again about four hours after it happened. DH said it was clear. She is completely fine and normal otherwise, but I'm still freaking out.

Update: So DH and I watched Rosie like hawks, and she didn't throw up anymore. She's completely her normal self bouncing around the house like a happy little baby (she's 2...but she's our youngest, so she's "the baby"). Thank you all for your help! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

We are never, ever buying those air fresheners again.

Freaking out-please calm me down

Maybe she just has a bad taste in her mouth so she is dry heaving? I would just keep water around for her. Cats are strong. I hope she feels better!

You could call animal poison control but there will be a fee. I honestly avoid most of those air freshner thingys b/c my dog stuck his nose in the liquid from one once (a plug in one) and I got freaked when I read about how toxic they are.

I hope your cat is doing better and the worst has passed.Chat Icon

Re: Freaking out-please calm me down

Maybe whatever she did consume of it is just working its way out of her system, or maybe she is making herself sick since she probably has a strong fragrance stuck in her throat. I would just keep an eye on her for the remainder of the night and see how she is in the morning. I am sure she will be fine but I definitely don't blame you for being concerned. Good luck and keep us posted!
