UPDATE!!! 6/3 freaking out, please help calm me

I have not yet come out on the boards yet, but I am about 6 weeks PG and tomorrow is my first sono. I am a nervous wreck! I do not know what is going on inside my head, but when I woke up this morning my boobs did not feel sore, so immediately I am thinking that this pregnancy is over. I still feel exhausted and hungry and nauseous so I am trying to calm myself down but it does not seem to be working.
Please help.

(I have been pg twice before and both times ended in a missed m/c. This pregnancy is the result of IVF)

UPDATE: We have a heartbeat!! Measuring right on track at 6 weeks and HB of 120bpm. I am so thrilled right now.
Thank you everyone for all of your responses - it really helped knowing I was not going crazy.

Re: freaking out, please help calm me

Before my first appointment I was also paranoid that something would go wrong. I bought some cheap HPT and took them whenever I felt nervous. It helped ease mind to see the line Chat Icon

I know you're nervous, but you won't feel a symptom every second of every day, so try not to read into everything.

Can you take another pregnancy test today? I know I took about 6 the first week I was pregnant.

Maybe you can go get blood work at your doc to confirm the pregnancy so you have the results tomorrow instead of waiting a whole weekend?

Good luck! Chat Icon Chat Icon

First of all, OMG congrats!

Secondly... after all that you have been through, if I were in your shoes, I'd be just as freaked out. It is more than normal to have symptoms come and go, sometimes by the hour.

Best of luck today Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: freaking out, please help calm me

I think that you should relax. My boobs aren't sore anymore but the hunger, tiredness and nausea are all still there like u. We get ourselves all worked up. Positive thoughts and pray to St. Gereard.

I don't agree with the advice to take a HPT though, as pregnancy hormones remain in your body. Just try to keep yourself busy until your appt!!

Breathe and relax. All will be well. It is normal to frek out before a sono, especially in the beginning. Tomorrow will be here before you know it. My first pregnancy I took dollar store pregnancy tests daily for about 6 weeks Chat Icon just to make sure I was still preggo.

I had two m/c via IVF also, and now I am 22 weeks along with Chat Icon Chat Icon (IVF) and I had no real symptoms that early. I hope this gives you a little hope.

Re: freaking out, please help calm me

My boob soreness comes and goes. Last night I actually told DH that they barely felt sore/sensitive at all. It's totally normal. Some women have almost no symptoms throughout their entire 1st tri.

Take a HPT and see how dark the line is. That will make you feel so much better.

GL at your appointment! I'm sure everything will go perfectly!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: freaking out, please help calm me

I was paranoid too for my first bunch of appts.

Heck I'm still nervous and have checked the TP every single time!!!!

My boobs stopped feeling sore VERY VERY early on and have not been sore this entire pregnancy pretty much.

It's pretty normal and common to be nervous at these appointments. Hopefully everything goes well. Good Luck!

Re: freaking out, please help calm me

congrats!!
im assuming if you did IVF you already have beta numbers. theres nothing you can really do to feel better until you see that heartbeat.
symptoms are different for everyone. i was really just tired early on. i didnt have any other symptoms until 7w. just hang in there til tomorrow. every sono that confirms the heartbeat helps. i dont think i breathed easily until about 20w!!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: freaking out, please help calm me

Everything the girls said is what I will say. I had virtually no symptoms until I was around 9 or 10 weeks. I remember pushing on boobs almost daily to see if they were sore. Nothing! I was so nervous for that first appointment as well. Everything will be just fine!!! Congrats on your BFP!! Chat Icon
