Alcohol at family parties?

So I've come to realize that when we buy beer we are left with most of it and that only one person drinks the wine....

most of the people just drink soda, we put out hard liquor that people will sometimes mix into the soda..

Wondering if I can just stop buying beer and wine?

can you significantly cut down on the amount you buy? Or be sure to buy brands you enjoy yourself so you use up the leftovers later on.

You said one or two people drink, right? Maybe just buy a six pack of beer and one bottle of red or white wine. You can use whatever is leftover to cook with.

This is what we do now...our first party we bought two cases from BJ's and we were left with sooo much left over...from now on we buy 12 pack and 1 bottle red and white. My parents like Scotch so I have one bottle of that.
