Anyone read Psychology related Memoirs?
I have a fascination with mental illness so I love these types of books (like Cybil, Girl Interrupted, Prozac Nation, Manic).
Looking for some recommendations

Not sure if this would interest you but a coworker recommend She's Come Undone by Wally Lamb. Never read it so I don't know how it is.

Re: Anyone read Psychology related Memoirs?
If you're okay with child psychology, anything by Torey Hayden is amazing, particularly One Child.

Switching Time by Dr Richard Baer is an amazing amazing book about multiple personality disorders. I've read it 3 times and lovedddd it each time. 2 of my girlfriends have also read it and loved it. (We're all social workers) Highly recommend.

Anyone read Psychology related Memoirs?
It's an oldie, and fictionalized, but I loved The Bell Jar.
Also, while it's never really referred to, the parents in The Glass Castle must have had some kind of mental illness.

Not sure if this is the exact genre you mean but Lisa Genova wrote Still Alice and Left Neglected and both were amazing! One is about early Alzheimers and the other is about brain damage.

Re: Anyone read Psychology related Memoirs?
I just remembered 2 more. Beautiful Boy and Tweak. The first was written by a father about his sons drug addiction and the second was written by the son about being addicted. Excellent books.

Read and enjoyed both!
