Vent: Overwhelmed...baby items

I'm 15 weeks now and completely overwhelmed with the amount of stuff DH and I have to buy for babies 2 and 3.

I'm lucky that some friends have offered to let us borrow some items but there are certain things I don't feel comfortable borrowing or getting used. I can't believe the amount of money we are going to need to spend in the next few months.
We just moved into a new house and we haven't touched the nursery so a lot has to be done!

Hopefully our tax refund is good this year!
Vent over.

Re: Vent: Overwhelmed...baby items

I totally hear you...we are expecting #2 and 3 in May and I have some stuff from my older DS and I am getting some hand-me downs but I still had to buy 2 cribs, and will need to get bedroom furniture, etc etc. I am trying to get things little by little. It will all work out...but I get that overwhelmed feeling at least once a day!

I remember those days

I found highly rated cribs at walmart/amazon and got a changer and table too for $300 total

My son had a set up that converted to a full and was a large crib and he still loved his - so at one time we had 3 cribs going

my big purchase was a double stroller that had a jump seat - valco tri mode

the double snap and go but can be found used

double brest friend

graco infant seat - they best with the double snap and go

extra swing was hand me down

had a jumper and an exercauser from the older

I made a registry really for myself to keep a list of the things I needed and for the discount

I have a private registry going right now. I just made a spread sheet of the items I need right away and it is over $1,000. This does not include the carpeting and painting of the nursery. It also does not include clothes or diapers, I figure I'll get a bunch of that for gifts, maybe????

It is overwhelming when you add it all up.

Try to keep in mind that you don't need to have everything the second you come home from the hospital. For example, the jumperoo/exersaucer won't get used until probably around 4 months old.

I'm lucky b/c I have that stuff from DS 1.

I got a used double snap and go
I also bought the jumperoo used (i think from a twin mommy on here).

I am having my 3rd now but bought a inexpensive graco crib that is rated highly in baby bargains. I think it was $150.

I also bought a triple jogger on craigslist for $50
