? for those with balanced translocations
If you did IVF, did they do PGD? I have a balanced translocation and had a successful IVF without PGD. I have since moved out of state and saw a new doctor close to me. I assumed I would just do an FET with this new doctor but he is surprised the previous doctor didn't do PGD. He's suggesting to thaw out my frozen embryos and do PGD before transferring them. This is not at all what I expected so I'm very confused. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Re: ? for those with balanced translocations
I did PGD and did not get pregnant on first IVF. On second, we didn't do PGD and got pregnant. The second doctor explained to me that for some reason the embyros are degraded in the PGD process and I was better off not doing it. Instead, I put four embryos back and got pregnant with one.
