Level 2 questions
I made my appointment for my level 2 anatomy scan on a day that would be convenient for us, but I'll be 21w4d... is that too late? It seems most people go closer to 20 weeks but I don't know if there's a cutoff like there is for the NT scan.
Is there level 2 bloodwork? I didn't made an appointment with the OB, just w/ Madonna for the scan... am I supposed to have an appointment for bloodwork that week too?

Level 2 questions
I don't think there is a blood work with the level 2 anatomy scan. Mine is on Tuesday. I have my 20 week appt with my OB on that same day an hour before and then will go across the street to LIJ where the actual scan is done. I wasn't told anything about blood work.

Thanks. I wish I was having mine done at LIJ like last time, I felt like they were very thorough & it was done by a high risk dr which I liked. Who is your OB right near LIJ? I'll probably just make an OB appointment at the office when I go for my scan. I just hope I didn't make it for too late a date, when I made my appointment for it they didn't ask how many weeks I'd be & I didn't think to ask if the timing was ok.

I had mine at 21wks5d. There were no issues. I didn't have any blood work for level 2 but did at 16 wks I believe, the AFP I think it was called. It was the second trimester screening they do.

I was 21w, 2 days. The place wouldn't even schedule me until 21 weeks, which was a pain because I had one day before I went away. DH couldn't take off since he was taking off Wed and me parents were already in Fl. I begged them to do it at 21w, 6 days but they wouldn't.

Level 2 questions
Level 2 can be done anytime after 18 weeks. There are women who don't seek prenatal care until late in their pregnancies who may see an OB at 24 weeks and the doctor will order a level 2 so don't worry about it at 21+ weeks. There is no blood work needed.

Madonna is great. I had all my songs do e there and I had them weekly due to high risk. They have dress on staff if the techs see something and all the techs I had were great. I think I saw everyone that works in the west islip office.

Mine was at Madonna. They do a great job and it's fun to watch on the giant monitor. You'll be happy there.

No blood work at 20 weeks, but Madonna did my blood work at my 12wk NT scan and for my Maternit21, so if there was they would omit.
