Cost of IUI?
For those that paid for IUI's OOP, how much were your IUIs? I was paying $1,900 for clomid cycles and $2,900 for injectable cycles. I'm on a group on Facebook and this is what someone posted to me
From resolve.org : Average cost of an IUI cycle: $865; Median Cost: $350.
Two of the women are incredulous that I pay so much. I chalked it up to being in LI but now I'm panicked that I didn't shop around and get prices from other clinics and ended up paying much more than I should have. Please tell me I'm not the only one paying ridiculous prices for IUIs.

Cost of IUI?
I go to Cornell and for just solely the IUI, I paid about $690 each. I never did injectables, just clomid. My insurance paid for the monitoring (blood and ultrasound) but not the IUI procedure.
It sounds like you are paying for the monitoring and the IUI.

this really all depends on who is doing it, I think. My OB did 3 IUI's for me. I was NOT monitored so I never had ultrasounds or blood work. I got a script for clomid that cost me $10; came in on day whatever..did the IUI. B/c he is an OB and not an RE, my insurance didnt accept his billing code. He charged me $150 each IUI. for 2 of them I did a trigger which was also a $10 copay. the dr. would have me come in the day before and charged me $35 to administer the shot.
So I'd say each time was around $200.
I am also in PA, not NY so im sure you will get a variety of responses.
an RE will do monitoring so I imagine that is why you are paying more.

Last time I did an IUi cycle (June '14) I paid $995 out of pocket which included all monitoring, labs, office visits, and IUI up to beta. This was at RSofNY

that is a lot but places like LI IVF and others charge an insane amount for IUI's, not sure why

Ugh so upsetting to find out. Yes, I'm at LI IVF. For my ds I used RS of ny but they were 1 mile from my job at the time. Now it would be very difficult to use them to go for all the monitoring so I picked LI IVF because they're close to my house and a friend used them with good results. I guess I stupidly thought that the price would be about the same and I didn't shop around price wise. I have spent so much money with no results and this is going to put me in debt to do around of IVF. I would have saved $1,000's it looks like had I gone back to rs of ny. I'm sick to my stomach at the thought of it. Another infertility blow. Thanks for the responses ladies.

No, with a specialist in NJ. I'm with a different RE now but still in NJ. Sorry if this doesn't help much!
