What color carpet with yellow walls?
We're renovating our family room in the spring and trying to decide on flooring. Wood tile is going to be too much of a pain, so we'll probably wind up replacing the existing carpet for the floor and stairs. We want to paint the walls yellow.
What color carpet? We want the room to be cozy and welcoming (and child-friendly).
Bonus points: what color couches?

Carpet - Ivory or Tan
Couch - Darker shade of carpet
Accent colors:
Warm - rust, green, ivory, chocolate
Cool - ivory, light blue, light green

I have yellow walls in FL. We did dark beige couches with green accents. Tile is ivory and area rug is a mix of light and dark grey shag.

Gray carpet, navy couch.
Love this combo. Would look great with yellow walls. Or gray carpet with corals or greens as accent colors

Another vote for gray. I love the combo. I am going to repaint my bedroom soon in a shade that's not quite gold but not exactly yellow, and I got a gorgeous comforter that's gray with gold and a little bit of teal.

I have light yellow walls in my den/family room. Originally I had tan/taupe/khaki colored. I just got new carpet and went iwth a medium gray.
The room gets a lot of light - we have dark wood furniture and a dark brown couch. There's a fireplace in the room that is gray stone.
I am liking the gray carpet with the pale yellow walls and chocolate brown furniture.

i would do a gray carpet, and either a gray couch with yellow accent pillows or a navy couch with navy/yellow pillows

I did my entire upstairs in grey carpet. That way, it goes with basically any wall color. We currently have (in different rooms) blue, pink, white, grey, and tan walls, and it works with all of the wall colors.
