Italy
I have never been and I don’t speak the language. Anyone have recommendations on places to travel to in Italy/ visit. We would have our twin toddlers with us and will be almost 3. We are looking to book something this month for October this year

Re: Italy
Since you will have toddlers, they probably won’t want to do a lot of walking and climbing up stairs.
I love Venice, but there are so many bridges that you have to cross and I’m not sure if you would be using a stroller or not.
Sorrento is nice and flat. And it’s by Amalfi and Pompeii.
Rome might be fun and there aren’t tons of stairs to climb.
Naples isn’t the best and I wouldn’t go there on purpose. Good food, though.
I loved Bologna. Such good food.
Verona is flat, too. And scenic.
South Tyrol is really nice, but it doesn’t give you that total Italy feel. It reminds me of Austria.
Have you thought about the lakes? I’m not sure if it will be too cold for that in October.
Bottom line: what do you want to see?

Re: Italy
My parents really liked Sicily. They flew into Palermo.

Italy
If you are going to Italy for the first time, I would say that you must go to Rome and Florence. Its very easy to travel around Italy by train - I would read up on what you think you might like to see. There is so much to do in Italy - cities, coast, Tuscany. Venice is my favorite city in Italy - it might be more challenging with a stroller, but I think it might be a good place to take kids. Its less crowded and kids love going on a gondola ride!
