Re: Diaper changing question
We don't use anything on DS when we change his diaper. I plan on only using the creams if he has a rash of some sort. Sometimes if I see anything looking a little red, I will use a spot of Desitin.

Re: Diaper changing question
Only when there's a rash. I think I've had the same tube for 2 years!
(in the beginning I use vaseline at every change to help the merconium poops clean easily)

Re: Diaper changing question
don't laugh....my pediatrician recommends thoroughly drying and then crisco, so I use that everytime
So far, no rash!!
There was one point where she was pooping a TON and got a little reddness, so used desitin at night and it was gone.

Re: Diaper changing question
I use Desitin only when DS has a rash or he's had a particularly poop heavy day!

Re: Diaper changing question
I only use it in his but area (gets red from poop) and at the creases where the diaper rubs his legs. Otherwise, none and so far (knock wood) no rash.

Re: Diaper changing question
I use petroleum jelly during the day & I put Butt Cream on at night. At 4 months this seems to be working so far.

Re: Diaper changing question
I use the blue Desitin every diaper change unless I plan on giving him a bath within the hour, and the purple Desitin for overnight.

Only if she looks a little red.
She got diaper rash once - and I found the roll-on baby powder worked better than any of the creams.
