Scary, Scary Day - 1/21 Update
I usually don't post alot of personal stuff on here because it's not my style.
I don't want hugs, I don't want prayers, I don't want FM's
There will be some within this community, who don't like me that'll be like, "Captain got his", or "Karma got him" or whatever. I really don't care.
The point of my post is to educate you all on treasuring what you have, because you never know when it is going away.
I am off today-Wednesday and we are going to Foxwoods tomorrow for Boosh's b-day. I was doing a little work from home this morning and was on a conference call at 10. My call waiting beeped in, but I didn't pick it up because I did not want to interrupt my client. About 5 minutes later, it beeps again. This time, I picked it up - it was my father. My mother had passed out, was unconsious on the floor, 911 had been called and the paramedics were working on her.
When I got there, the scene was not good. Her heart rate was low, she was sprawled out on the floor and we really thought this was it. She finally came around and they had to literally drag her down the hall (she was near the bathroom) to get her on the stretcher. The screams of pain she made when they lifted her, I hope no one ever has to experience.
So, we all went to the hospital and luckily, she is doing much better. We still have to hear from the doctor but it is likely and hopefully a really bad reaction to some new medication she is on. She takes alot of meds and we are thinking that this new medication is interacting badly with the ones she was already on.
I hope I never have to see that again.

I know you don't want hugs, but I will hope that the Drs figure out her meds soon so that your family does not have to ever go through this again. It is frightening to see a loved one like that.

How frightening. It's always terrible to see one of your parents in such a vulnerable state. I hope that it is nothing very serious and that you hear from the doctors soon.
(no hugs or prayers..i'm refraining, but it's not easy!)

I am so sorry -- I hope they determine the cause of the problem and that your mom improves quickly.
Just last night DH and I were talking about how important it is to treasure each day - and how glad I am he kisses me goodbye in the morning, even tho I don't know it. You just never know what tomorrow will bring.... I am sending you hugs anyway.

Omg...i'm so sorry. I hope that she feels better.
You know...sometimes people don't see eye to eye with you...but I don't think that anyone would ever feel that
"you got yours" in this situation. If they do, than that's just sad.

Something similar happened to my grandmother when she was living with my mom and they changed her mix of medications. I know how scary it can be and hope that they figure out the right meds soon. It's awful to feel so helpless when somone you love is hurting so bad.

I am sorry that this happened and hope that it is just a bad reaction to the medication and that she is ok.

Oh Don, I have no words.. I'm sorry to hear what a scary day you had, and will send prayers your way that the doctors come to the bottom of what is wrong with your Mom..
