I am so sorry that you, your mom and your family had to deal with something so scary. I got teary-eyed reading what happened. It's such a paralyzing feeling when something happens to our loved ones - especially our parents who have been our source of strength all along. Thank God your Dad was there and responded so quickly and your Mom is okay. What a scare...for everyone.
It's true - we should remember not to take things for granted.
