Yeah for us it's not too overwhelming unless I don't keep up with it and then she has to do 2 assignments in one night and I can see her getting restless with it.
I also tend to slack on the "15 min of reading each night"
Yeah, I'm a bad mom!
Same here. I really have to make more of an effort with the reading...
I'm so lazy. 
But I get home at 6 and we start homework then and by the time we get through the actual homework she is so antsy and getting tired. To make her read after that would be torture.
But she just brought home an optional Fall reading challenge that we are going to do, so that will help!
