A doctor is perfecting the science to turn brown eyes blue - permanently. Would you do it???
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/11/02/brown-eyes-turn-blue-iris_n_1070429.html?1320242812&icid=maing-grid7%7Cmain5%7Cdl17%7Csec1_lnk3%7C109432
According to the link, a doctor has been working for 10 years to perfect the science to turn brown eyes blue. 80% of people have brown eyes - if you do, would you get the procedure to change them to blue? It would be permanent.
*Assuming it's been studied and proven safe, etc.*
Would you?

Re: A doctor is perfecting the science to turn brown eyes blue - permanently. Would you do it???
Absolutely not.
I won't lie...I'd love to have been born with blue--or green--eyes. But I wasn't and that's fine. I'm beautiful just the way I am!
What would I ever say to my two beautiful brown-eyed daughters if I did that?? "Brown eyes just aren't that nice, girls. You'd both look much better--like I do now--with blue eyes."

I find dark eyes intriguing and quite beautiful.
My deep set green eyes sometimes get lost in my face, especially when my tan fades and my face pales.

I have blue eyes, but if I had brown, I wouldnt change them.
DH's family, I'm sure would change their brown eyes if they could. It's the whole reason DH married me.

It is tempting, but if God wanted me to have blue eyes, he would have given them to me. I'll have to deal with it

No way.
I have hazel eye now & I'm happy with them. My daughter has the most deep brown eyes (after her dad), which I love.
I also think some things we should not be messing with.

I love that I'm a brown-eyed girl and would never change it no matter what!
I absolutely ADORE my DD's big beautiful brown eyes and hers are proof that you don't need to be a blue-eyed girl to make someone's heart melt.
(Shameless excuse to post a pic of my baby girl):

I feel like i feel about any other cosmetic procedure, if someone else wants to do it & it makes them feel better about themselves, they should go for it. This could have easily said 50 years ago (or however long ago all you fact checkers) “Doctors perfecting how to make women have bigger breasts through surgery. Would you do it?”

Re: A doctor is perfecting the science to turn brown eyes blue - permanently. Would you do it???
Nope- blue eyes are not for me.
Maybe green or something that is more unique- but I kind of like having blonde hair and brown eyes- to me it's a different kind of combo
Not to mention- I LOVE my DD's big brown eyes and I couldn't imagine her being as cute without them!

I also want to add- I wish doctors like this would use their time and talent to work on something a bit more important- like maybe curing diseases?
I mean he spends 10 years on this? Is it really that important?
Like our society isn't superficial enough???
