I wouldn't do it, nor would i ever want my son Ryan to have that done..he has the most beautiful big brown eyes...its who he is, as well as my DH..he would look creepy with blue eyes i think, lol!!!
But if someone chose to do it on their own, then who am I to object? This society already does a million things to fight what they naturally have, eye color isn't such a big deal!

No way! I wouldn't do anything to my eyes unless absolutely necessary. I would never do lasik either and I have HORRIBLE vision and would be a great candidate!!
same here. People tell me i'm crazy for not getting lasik..I would never, ever let anyone near my eyes.

I also want to add- I wish doctors like this would use their time and talent to work on something a bit more important- like maybe curing diseases?
I mean he spends 10 years on this?

Absolutely not...I really dont see the need to mess with what you were given...I have green eyes, my DD has beautiful brown eyes and my DS has beautiful blue eyes

As much as I think blue & green eyes are beautiful, I don't know. I've been complimented on my dark brown eyes. I'm not sure either how I'd look with blue. If I could test it first & really REALLY liked it maaaaybe, but I dunno. I'm unsure about permenant changes to myself. I feel like I'll always want something different.

I feel the same way...there's no way on earth I would ever have elective eye surgery.
I think it's great the options are out there but I just can't imagine taking advantage of them.

Based on the majority of responses here, I wonder how many people in the world WOULD have it done. I mean, will this doctor ever make millions changing brown eyes to blue??? I'm not sure. I can totally see someone like Paris Hilton doing it - she's been wearing blue contact lenses every day for over 10 years.
Here's my thing - there are SO many shades of blue eyes... what if you don't get the shade you like??? I couldn't see myself doing it. I remember being little and WISHING I had blue eyes with my black hair. Now, no thanks. Our likes change throughout the years. It's great to be blonde and go back to brown if you change your mind. If you go blue, you can't ever go back to brown. Seems so drastic to me. But I'm sure some people will love this.

Nope. I love my eyes the way they are - always get compliments on them. I think dark eyes are more exotic anyway - not a fan of light eyes. I wouldn't even wear colored contacts... just not my thing.

I always felt the same way until I developed an allergy to contact lenses. I couldn't deal with my glasses anymore (lack of peripheral vision) so I finally got lasik.
I would never get a procedure done on my eyes just to change the color though.

I have DARK brown eyes...almost look black.
One thing that DH loves about me.

Agree, it's kind of insulting... maybe it's just me but I don't get why society creates a whole hoopla over blue eyes anyway... brown eyes are beautiful

I know a few people who always wear blue contacts, and quite honestly - I don't like the way it looks. It does not "go" with their coloring and always looks fake to me!

I have blue eyes, but even so...
If I were going to spend a bunch of money and put my body at risk, I would have done it already for implants or lipo.
But I don't because there are more important things in life, and I wish we as a society didn't put so much emphasis on jamming ourselves into a physical mold of what's "beautiful." I wasted so much of my youth worrying about this.

I look at it this way-God made me this way and I am not going to mess with it. Plus I don't think I would look good with blue eyes. I think blue/green eyes are gorgeous but would not look good on me at all.
