Re: A doctor is perfecting the science to turn brown eyes blue - permanently. Would you do it???
I would LOVE blue eyes! I've always wanted them. I was hoping that my kids would have them, but no... My older son has deep, big brown eyes, my younger son has a mix like me, brown in the middle, hazel on the outside and DD has deep, big brown eyes like big bro!

Nope. I have green eyes and I love them. I think they are one of my best features.
Would it even work on green eyes?

Re: A doctor is perfecting the science to turn brown eyes blue - permanently. Would you do it???
Nope. I actually don't think blue eyes are any better looking than brown eyes. I think someone can have just as beautiful eyes whether they are blue or brown. Don't see one as better than the other! Never did!

I also want to add- I wish doctors like this would use their time and talent to work on something a bit more important- like maybe curing diseases?
I mean he spends 10 years on this? Is it really that important?
Like our society isn't superficial enough???
I agree. Sad and ridiculous!

CRAZY! I have always loved and wanted brown eyes.
I would never change my eye color. My son has the same color eyes. Changing them would be sending him a message that his eyes aren't good enough.

I actually used to wear colored contacts and eventually realized that natural looks way better on me. Don't get me wrong, I still adore light colored eyes but on me? Nah. And DH has the biggest sweetest warm brown eyes with long thick lashes. I couldn't imagine him any other way and I hope he thinks the same about me too

at least you girls have an eye color! My eye color changes all the time, I don't even know what color to call them...I guess they are hazel, but people mistake them for brown, sometimes they are blue, sometimes green! (this is a sensitive subject for me lol j/k!)

Re: A doctor is perfecting the science to turn brown eyes blue - permanently. Would you do it???
Ehhh. I don't think so. While it would have been nice to of been born with some crazy colored eyes... I was born with different looking light brown eyes that get darker on the outerparts.
My one brother has blue eyes and the other one has ... yellow eyes... they are literally yellow on the inner parts and then gradually turn to a bright greenish color. So I usually make comments about how I got stuck with the brown eyes and they got the unique ones... but really my brown eyes aren't so bad.
I also like the brown eyed girl song someone mentioned.
BUT I don't think it's that big of a deal.... I mean I do color my hair.... and if I could color it permanently where I'd never have to do it again... i so would!
DD has blue eyes and blonde hair... or at least that's the colors for now... anyway, I was happy she got pretty blue eyes... but surprisingly sad she got blonde hair instead of dark hair like me. IDK why. I didn't give her eye color a second guess... but when she didn't have the dark mess of hair, I was really surprised.

No, brown eyes are my favorite but like anything else, if it makes someone feel better to change their eye color, then why not? My mom had blue contacts and we all thought she looked weird, but she loved "dressing up" in them occasionally.

My eyes are blue, but even if they weren't, I wouldn't change them. For me, certain things should be left alone.

I would rather have green eyes, those are even more rare. But to answer your question, probably not, I would be too scared!

Hahahaa, I have the same problem with my daughter's eyes. They constantly change between green, gray and blue, depending on the weather, time of the day and what she is wearing. After some observation, I came to a conclusion that majority of time they are green so now when people comment and ask what color they are I say "green". Before I never knew how to answer!
And to answer the original question: NO! I like my eyes, they are light brown and quite nice, I think. I will stick with what I have got!

These two posters pretty much said everything I was thinking:

Absolutely not.
I won't lie...I'd love to have been born with blue--or green--eyes. But I wasn't and that's fine. I'm beautiful just the way I am!
What would I ever say to my two beautiful brown-eyed daughters if I did that?? "Brown eyes just aren't that nice, girls. You'd both look much better--like I do now--with blue eyes."
