allergy testing for infant...what to expect
I made an appointment for DD because she has a milk protein allergy and has shown signs of egg and black bean allergies (vomitting and rash)
Do they do needles? Will DD freak out?
She's 10 months old

I am not sure if they will do an actual allergy test for other stuff at such a young age because the tests are so unreliable.. My son is 2.5 and will be getting tested at the end of the month for allergies. They wouldn't do it any earlier because you can get a lot of false positives. Call and ask them.. I would definitely want to know.. Good luck.

Re: allergy testing for infant...what to expect
I had allergy testing done for my DD when she was around 18-19 months old, I think. Don't remember specifically her age. She has had a chronic cough since she was very little so we wanted to make sure if wasn't from something we could control which is why we had the allergy testing done. They tested for all food allergies, flowers, plants, dander, etc etc.
Unfortunately, the testing required a blood draw so I had to bring her to the lab and they had to draw a few vials of blood from her. That really wasn't very fun but at least it was quick.
