I spoke with DH and he unfortunately thinks that she is a bit jealous. He reminded me of how miserable she was at our reception (she eloped) and brought up some other points. He doesn't think we need to do anything further and hopes she realizes her feelings before it's too late (we're godparents to her kids ). Plus, I can understand her situation, it's frustrating to be stuck with no way out in NY...I felt it, I know it. But what gets DH annoyed is that we chose, on our own, to change that. We asked no one for help...yet she wants to use all the research we did for us and say "that'll work" opening up the window for "I hate it and it's all your fault"...like some mentioned.

It's a horrible place to be in and I feel like total crap. Thank you for reassuring me that I am not crazy...I'll keep you posted.
