About $100-$150/month. Depends on how good the sales are or how good my coupons are.
Back when sales were better, I was spending maybe $20/week?
We do not buy organic and we do not buy beer.
Wow, how do you manage this. What does a typical meal look like?
We'll bring in or eat out a couple of nights a week. Also DH works for a company that makes frozen pastas so we have an unlimited supply although we don't eat that every week lol.
I stock up on chicken and meats when they're on sale. Actually anything that can be frozen or is non-perishable I will stock up on when on sale. Paper goods I get only when on sale with coupons and I stock up. I won't spend more than $3-4 per large package of TP or paper towels. Sales can be very good on that sort of thing. I haven't bought cleaning supplies in months because the last time I did, I got such good deals with the sales and coupons that I ended up with a bit of a stockpile. I have a ridiculous amount of laundry detergent. It got a little out of control lol. I didn't pay more than a $1 for each one. I won't need to buy for at least a year. I actually started to give some away I have enough body wash and shampoo to last several months that I bought for a small fraction of the regular price.
Hopefully the sales will start getting better soon. I miss my weekly trips! It's very possible to not spend a lot. Check out Living Rich w/ Coupons. It really changed the way I shop. I saved $1900 at Shoprite alone last year. A few hundred at the other stores. I stopped going to those unless the sales were spectacular. Nothing beats Shoprite IMO.
