another only child question (kind long)

DD is an only child obv. another child isnt an option right now.

I have people asking me all the time if I will ever had another kid. I dont know! I dont think so. I want more than anything for Mya to have a sister, I never had one and DH and I had planned on trying for another last Dec.

I had always wanted to be done having kids by the time I am 30, I am 28 now.

Do I need to change my expectations of things?

I do not enjoy being preg. I had bad sciatica pains with DD i could have sworn she was growing to my spine. I do not enjoy the baby stage. She is 2.5 now and i am LOVING it. she is my best friend.

Also I dont want another child to feel left out, Mya and I have such a bond because of everything that has gone on. I am just not sure if it would be fair to ever bring another child into this world.

I am pretty sure I dont want another, but people keep making me second guess myself!

ETA: i know a sister isnt gauranteed but any sibling i guess

Do you mean you would consider adopting or trying for another sibling as a single mom?

If you think you may one day want to date again, I would keep your options open; you may meet a man who has no children of his own and strongly wants one (or more!).

Either way, I wouldn't hold yourself to 30. As we all know, life throws us curveballs.
