Re: Any Bakers out there? - updated with more recipes
They pretty much are supposed to be soft and stick together. Mine do that also. They are a very moist cookie. My mom sometimes used to lay waxed paper between the layers of them so that they wouldn't all get stuck as badly.

Okay --- HERE it is!
These are SOO awesome!!!
They are very good hot out of the oven with a little bit of melted butter on them!
I double the recipe.
Makes 12 regular sized muffins.
1 c. sugar 1/2 c. butter or margarine 1 c. milk 1 egg 1 1/2 c. all purpose flour 3/4 c. farina 1/8 tsp. salt 2 tsp baking powder
Preheat oven to 425
Cream together butter and sugar. Mix in milk and egg.
In a seperate bowl mix together dry ingredients, and then fold into wet ingredients.
Bake in greased or lined muffin tins for 20-25 minutes or until the tops are golden. ENJOY and please let me know if you try it!!!
ETA a picture since I baked them today. They got a little too dark for my taste --- I'm still getting used to this oven! I've only baked in it a few times.
Hi, just wantd to thank you for this recipe as well. DH got bit by the baking bug and made these last night and theya re yummy..
THanks

I have never tried it but would imagine that you could. I don't know if it would be the same amount -- I say try it and see how it comes out!!! Then let us know!

Anyone like scones? I'm close to perfecting my cranberry scone recipe, I could post it when I get home.
i love scones!! Please post your recipe!
I'm so sorry I haven't been back! The last time I made them, I put in 1/2 cup of chopped frozen cranberries instead of the currants, and they came out great. I find including the lemon zest doesn't make a whole lot of difference.
This is the "currant cream scone" recipe from my Williams Sonoma baking book. It's very rich and cakey. I've tried other less fattening recipes which have whole milk instead of heavy cream and a bit less butter. But it just wasn't worth it. I'm spoiled now that I've done it this way. So here it goes:
Cream scones - rich British tea biscuits - have a flaky, slightly cakelike texture. The secret to making tender scones is to use a very light touch, work quickly and put them into the oven immediately after cutting. Glaze them with cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar for the finishing touch just before they go into the oven. Scones are traditionally served warm, split open, and topped with chunky fruit preserves, clotted cream, or lemon curd.
For the dough:
1 cups (10 oz/315 g) all purpose flour 1/4 cup (2 oz/60 g) granulated sugar 1 tablespoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons grated lemon zest 6 tablespoons (3 oz/90 g) cold unsalted butter, cut into 1/2 inch pieces 1/2 cup (3 oz/90 g) dried currants 3/4 cup (6 fl oz/180 ml) heavy cream
For the topping:
1 tablespoon granulated sugar 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 2 teaspoons whole milk or heavy cream
Position rack in the middle of the oven and preheat to 425F (220C). Line a half-sheet pan or rimless baking sheet with parchment paper.
By hand: In a bowl, stir together the flour, granulated, sugar, baking powder, salt and lemon zest. Using a pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in the butter until the mixture forms large, coarse crumbs the size of small peas. Stir in the currants. Pour the cream over the dry ingredients and mix with a fork or rubber spatula until the dry ingredients are moistened.
By Mixer: Combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt and lemon zest and beat on low speed for a few seconds to mix. Add the butter and mix on medium-low speed just until the mixture forms large, coarse crumbs the size of small peas. Scatter the currants over the dough. Pour in the cream and mix for a few seconds just until moistened.
By Food Processor: Combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, sale and lemon zest and pulse for 2 or 3 times to mix. Add the butter and pulse for 7 to 8 times just until the mixture forms large, coarse crumbs the size of small peas. Scatter the currants over the dough. Pour in the cream and pulse just until moistened.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured work surface and press together gently until the dough clings together in a ball. Pat out into a round about 1/2 inch (12mm) thick and 61/2 inches (16.5 cm) in diameter. Cut the round into 6 wedges, or use a 3 inch (7.5 cm) biscuit cutter to cut out rounds. Place the wedges 1 inch (2.5 cm) apart on the prepared pan.
To make the topping, in a small bowl, stir together the sugar and cinnamon. Brush the wedges with the milk and sprinkle evenly with the cinnamon sugar.
Bake until golden brown, 13-17 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool slightly. Serve warm. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.

I just made this again the other night (i forgot i had the recipe)... soo yummy and moist!
Cinnamon Apple Cake
1 ¾ cups sugar ½ stick margarine, softened 1 tsp. vanilla 6 oz block reduced fat cream cheese (1/3 less fat) (about 3/4cup) 2 large eggs 1 ½ cup flour 1 ½ tsp baking powder ¼ tsp salt 2 tsp cinnamon 3 cups chopped & peeled apples (about 3 large apples)
Preheat Oven to 350 Beat 1 ½ cups of sugar, margarine, vanilla & creamcheese at med speed until well blended. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each one. Combine flour, baking powder and salt in separate bowl. Add flour mixture to cream mixture, beat low. Combine ¼ cup sugar and cinnamon in separate bowl. Mix 2 TB of sugar mixture and apples, then stir into batter. Pour batter into 8-inch spring form pan coated with cooking spray. Sprinkle remaining sugar mixture on top of cake.

Re: Any Bakers out there? - updated with more recipes
I made your soft chocolate chip cookies this weekend and they came out great.
DH helped with the ingredients and he accidentally picked up 1 bag choc. chips and 1 bag of peanut butter swirl chips.
After all the ingredients were mixed together (excluding the chips), I split the mixture in half and made two types of cookies. The peanut butter ones came out just as good as the choc. chip ones!
Thanks so much for posting your recipes!!!
