Anyone have experience with Carpenter Ants?

Anyone have experience with Carpenter Ants?
I've killed 4-5 of them, 2 winged and 2 regular black carpenter ants since we moved in a week and half ago.
We live in a loft type condo that used to be an arms factory.
Should I be worried? If there was a nest i'd see way more right? Should i treat this as a couple got in or call exterminator right now?
I HATE bugs, any kind of bugs, i'm totally skeeved.

We had a nest and I saw 5-9 a day in one room of our house. If they are in the same area call an exterminator. The exterminator told me that you will never see a swarm of carpenter ants.

about a week ago we saw those HUGE carpenter ants too with the wings on it.. about 7 of them... we think they are coming from outside so we got a spray from Home Depot and sprayed all along the outside of the house and havent seen them since... if we do, then we will call an exterminator.

Did you use Ortho Home defense? I used that stuff when i was in my old home cause we were on a slab, nothing survived.
I'm on a 2nd floor now. I can't spray the foundation. I have no clue how these things got in.
the front and back walls are brick inside and out.
