mine is 5 weeks and still in the bassinet near me (we use the bugaboo bassinet so we can rock her).
The main reason we did that, is because in the begining she was up a lot during the night, and its easier to rock her out of bed than to have to keep getting up to a different room to rock her. Also, I EBF and its easier to just reach over during the night to feed her than have to walk to a different room.
And yes, her grunting does wake us up - especially when we think she is crying or about to and she isn't. I think lately I learned to 'just let her be' with the grunting and now I can sleep through them.
