Applying for Child Health Plus....
I'm signing Cailen up for option B, but I am clueless about how to do this - it says to pick a provider and send the payment directly to them - but I see nothing anywhere about payment - should I just rely on the people they have in specific places and go and fill it out with someone????
I feel like such a moron...

Is there a # to call?
I remember I had a similar issue when I applied for Healthy NY and I called and they walked me through it.

Call the health plan and ask for the rate, then send the app. and your check directly to the health plan. DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT go to one of their "help centers". They will confuse the process and treat you like crap. I made the mistake of having a woman come to my home who was HORRIBLE and treated me like an uneducated moron who had no clue.

In the back of the book there is Empire BCBS, which is what I had for him - I can get it thru Child Health Plus? Do I call them and set it up with them?

Yup..that's what Emma has (after our ordeal with United and the screw ups from the lady that came to my house). Just make sure you send the app. before the 20th (I think it's the 20th), so you are covered for next month.

I would definitly call the number and if you need it by April 1st you need to get it out and soon. They need to recieve it by the 20th and you will want to have extra time in case there are any problems that you have to tie up.

We had a lady come to the house and she was very helpful and helped with all the paperwork - cannot rem her name. Sorry!
I did get a notice that the rates are going up again - it will be about $190 for us to have DD covered but I figure its worth it.
