It's very scary - I don't know what to do. We can all say what we want about not wanting to get it - I say it too - but the statistics don't lie about how it's affecting pregnant women
I'm really really torn and I'm just getting over the flu now!
I'm certainly not suggesting that this is why she had so many problems, but if you read the article, it says that she had no health problems BESIDES a smoking habit. I definitely consider that significant that her lungs were already compromised from the affects of smoking.
It's a very scary time to be pregnant.

im still SO torn about getting the vaccine 
i would think that after the first trimester, since near all major development is completed, it would be less risky?  i dont know ...

i definitely agree that smoking does compromise the lungs... even though some people think that that isnt a underlying medical condition...it really is....

My sister is a nurse in an office where they do clinical trials of new medications, etc. They are STRONGLY recommending all pregnant women to get the H1N1 vaccine, that the statistics are alarming when you look at the data of pregnant women who get the swine flu.

I'm so torn. I know my job will be providing it at some point. We'll see what I do then.
In the mentime I still have to get the seasonal flu shot.
