As a Future New Home Buyer, need guidance..

Are there people to talk to who offer advice on Morgage, money down, buying options, etc.

Does a bank do this?

Our mortgage broker was great! He went through all of this for us.

I know HSBC offers (about 1x/month) planning sessions with brokers, bankers, and invite customers/guests to attend and they go over everything associated with home buying and offer personal advice. Best idea is to call and ask.

I know DHs friend that is getting married next month has been attending these sessions - some are held in Smithtown, and other's across Suffolk Co. at various libraries.

I HIGHLY recommend meeting with Lynn Law at LIHP - LI Housing Partnership for mortgage counceling.

They will explain EVERYTHING to you. You may also qualify for special loans ONLY available through LIHP.

We worked with a banker at WAMU and he was great. He was at the Deer Park branch. He gave us such great advice and really helped us through the entire experience.

FM if you would like his name or contact number.

Good Luck! Chat Icon

We worked with a guy at Chase named Steve Glicker

516-410-4543

He honestly did an amazing job for us. My lawyer at closing said he did a real nice job for us with no fees, low costs, and a great rate.

I highly recommend him!
