Pull ups/Potty training

Lately my son keeps saying "peepee" and that means we take off his diaper and bring him onto the toilet(we have only gone on the toilet one time) However, I want to encourage this behavior. He starts pulling his pants down and then pulls the diaper down too and sometimes it is right after we have changed him! He has done this at daycare too! However, he is only 19 months old. I wasn't planning on training him until the earliest this summer, but probably not until next summer. Is he too early for pull ups/potty training?

You could definitely start...no harm done.

I know w/ my DD though she totally showed an interest & went on the potty for maybe 2 weeks & then just shut down w/ it. Now its 6 months later & she wants no part of it (at almost 3).
