at what age was your LO in a bed with no rails?

we plan to convert DD bed to a day bed with rails, but wondered how soon should we plan to remove the rails, and then convert to a full bed.

We put DS directly into a full bed with no rails at 3 1/2. He was in a crib until then.

We never had rails - we had him in the bed I think before his 3rd bday....

we moved dd to a bed just before her 3rd birthday. we tried without rails, she kept falling out. shes now almost 4, and will still fall otu if theres no rail. what can i say, she likes to move in her sleep

dd just turned 3 last week and has been sick, so we put off converting the bed.

She never tried to get out so we waited, but I think it's time, plus she's been dry at night for 2 weeks, so we want to do 1 big-girl event...undies at night & big girl bed (maybe that will help with less night accidents )

I feel like she's ready for a big bed in general....but what if she falls out?

LOL...we just took the rails off of my 5 year old's bed. He moves around A LOT do I was nervous he would fall out of bed. He was in a "big boy" bed at 2.5 though.

DS is in a twin now with no rails....3.5
