As a fellow teacher and newer mom, I really admire the way you manage to be a great working mom. What is this board for, if not to celebrate our kids?

Actually, I'm not surprised given some of the drama that people start on these boards. I'm saddened but not surprised. It's TRULY sad that it's carried over to parenting.
You are a great mom There will always be people who are just haters They have nothing better in their lives than to be negative, dramatic and two-faced. They are sad and pathetic.
Don't let them get to you.
Agree! I find that disgusting that there are people who could find ANYTHING to post or FM negatively about things you post about your beautiful and talented DD. I am so upset about this. I can't even write about my feelings on this matter I am so angry.
I'm surprised I haven't gotten any since I am constantly bragging about my own DD. What parent doesn't and certainly deserve to?

I am disgusted that someone would have something negative to say about you wanting to share something about your daughter! That is sad, and as other said, it's probably due to their insecurities. I am so sorry that you have to deal with this.
ETA: Your DD is adorable, and she's lucky to have a mom who is so proud of her!

OMG ITA!!!!! its absolutely disgusting and really just plain sad. Obviously the wackos who FM you over supporting your daughter are just totally jealous. Rach you are an awesome mommy and Ava is one lucky girl!

I missed the drama but I think how supportive and proud you are of Ava is great. I'm surprised someone would take that time to say something negative about that with all the other horrible things going on in this world.
I don't always respond to all the mom's brag posts because I just don't have time and I usually don't get the chance to share all mine but that's what we're here for isn't it? We're a parenting board. Where else to brag about our kiddos if we want to?

rach, you know how i feel about peoples negative comments i take it with a grain of salt. people are jealous.
ladies, one of rachels posts a mom fm'd her and starting saying stuff about me not realizing we were friends. talk about being catty. this stuff cracks me up sometimes. and when you say one thing about how you feel about a topic and people gang up on you and jump down your throat thats what seperates the kids from the women.
don't hate maybe you can learn a few things from Ava!

You are a great mom! I enjoy your posts because I feel the same way about my daughter. It is nice to know that I am not the only one that loves their daughter soooo much.
Like I always tell my students, If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all. I am sorry they made you feel like you had to defend your posts. That is crazy. I love this board because this is where I feel the most comfortable to "cheerlead" for my daughter. Your posts always make me smile.

2nd I cannot believe someone could even go so far as to send you a negative FM because they're jealous of your gorgeous, smart baby and your fantastic relationship with her.
I'm truly disgusted as well and I am sorry you even had to be exposed to this toxicity!!
