Rach- I'm sorry that you have to deal with this (the block user feature works wonders )
Anyone who has had the opportunity to spend time with you and Ava- KNOWS how awesome you are, what a wonderful STRONG mother you are- and what a joy Ava is!!!

I missed the drama as well, but I am saddened that some are being so hurtful and jealous. Our children are all wonderful and unique, each accomplishing their own milestones at their own pace. Be grateful that you have the joy and privilege of a little one calling you Mom.

I also just saw this post and I'm truly sorry you had to deal with someone who is obviously very jealous of you and your daughter. I don't know you personally, but I enjoy reading your post and getting advice from you. I have never taken any of your posts as bragging. I think you are just a great mother who is proud of her daughters accomplishments!

Im sorry to hear that. I always thought these boards were the perfect place to get answers and to share about our children's accomplishments - hey if you can't be your child's greatest supporter who will be?
I hope you keep posting everything and don't let some people take that from you. I think its great when all the mommies come on here and share everything and brag about their kids.

So sorry you had to deal with nastiness from a total stranger over something marvelous that your daughter did. Ava is an amazingly gifted little girl and you're right to be proud of every accomplishment which we all would be regardless of whether they happened early, ontime or late. I know I am regularly in awe of her accomplishments and your terrific attitude toward parenting but to turn it negative is just wrong. And if they feel such poison they should keep it to themselves. This has always been such a positive board. It should stay that way!

Wow Rachel .. I am sorry that anyone would ever take the time to FM you in a negative way about how proud you are when you post about Ava's milestones.
You are an invaluable member of this board.. you don't merely post about Ava and yourself you also do so much and help a lot of people by offering support and advice (I know your posts helped me many times about colic./reflux/PPD issues)
.. not to mention you are obviously a great mom with a gifted daughter.. noone should ever question ANY of that...
Ava rocks and so does her Mommy!

I love the Ava posts and updates!
. . . what has always struck me about your posts (and though I've only been a mom for four and a half months, I've been lurking on the parenting board for well over a year and a half) was how HONEST they were - about PPD, sleep deprivation, those days when you are just at your wits end, and of course the unbelievable love and pride you feel for your child. I click on all the ava update posts (love the video ones by the way) and feel fortunate that you share your daughter's milestones with me.
I dont really understand why someone would send nasty FMs, but I'm sorry that they have sent them to you.

I'm so sorry that you have to deal with things like this!! I honestly have to say that there have been so many times when I've read your posts... especially your "creative meals for Ava" ones.. where I stop and say to myself "wow, she is such an awesome mom!!"... You are actually one of the reasons that I want to make my own baby food for DD... just know that there are a lot of us here who admire you as a mom and a person, even if its for something as simple as making yummy chicken fingers for your daughter..lol!!

omg, I'm truly disheartened that there are other posters in this site that have the need to bring you down to make themselves feel better about their own lackings.
Rachel, you are an unbelievable mom and don't ever justify your actions as a mom for nobody.
I would seriously like to see these posters own up to this and show their faces, not literally on the boards.

I really have NO idea what happened, but just wanted to say isn't this what the Parenting board is all about? To post funny stories, celebrate achievements, ask for advice, and cheer each other on?
Why would anyone be angry when a mother did just that?
Post away, Rachel. People obviously don't understand what the Parenting board is all about.

Rachel- I am not a parent yet but I completely agree with your philosophy on parents. I love reading your posts about Ava and hearing about her growing up. I think you are a great mom.
To me, it is sad, that you almost have to justify yourself to others. That's nuts.
