best bottles for breastfeeding
Does anyone know which bottles are the best to use to store breast milk? I was reading in What to Expect the First Year and it said plastic is better for storing breast milk, but it doesn't say why. I registered for glass bottles...Born Free...wondering if I should switch?

This is a great question.
I registered for the Medela BPA free feeding gift set , which has storage containers and bottles in it.
Heard good things about it , but again, dont know why plastic would be better than glass?? hmmm

I would imagine glass wouldn't be good to freeze b/c it could crack? I don't like the idea of storing in plastic unless it is BPA free. Most of the moms on here said not to store in bottles in the freezer, that it is best to use those BPA free plastic storage bags. HTH!

I got the BPA free storage bags from the pp and I also just saw BPA free trays, like ice cube trays, that you can freeze the milk in and then pop them into freezer bags to store. They freeze in one ounce portions.

Sooo glad I asked! Now...can those storage bags be used with glass bottles? You just empty the milk in when you need it, right?

If you are going to store BM-use the Lansinoh bags posted. As for eeding BM in a bottle, I love Tommee Tippee.

That's what I'm using too...the storage back and then defrost them and use the glass bottles.

Those bags can be used with any bottles. You run them under warm water or in a mug of warm water until they are not frozen, then empty the bag into any bottle you like. HTH!
