Is this the same as the big inflatable excercise balls? What is the purpose of bouncing on it?

i haven't done much research on this but i hear its better for u than laying in bed since it allows ur pelvis/hips to open better than laying in a bed. also if u have back labor i would imagine it feel better to sit on this than laying in bed.
