BTDT Breastfeeding moms who used Playtex Drop-Ins Bottles...
Do the Medela breastmilk bags work in the Playtex Drop Ins? Or, does it have to be transferred to Playtex bags?

They have to be transferred. But it's so simple to just dump it in a bag.

They have to be transferred into the playtex liner, but if you aren't freezing them playtex makes an adapter that works with Medela pumps. It allows you to pump directly into a liner. There are supposed to be benefits from not transferring milk too many times (nutrients are lost as they stick to the bags etc.) but don't make yourself crazy with it, I transferred my frozen milk to the liners all the time.
ETA: you can use the playtex ones in the freezer.

Thank you... so should I just buy that Playtex converter and NOT use the Medela bags?
Is this the Playtex adaptor you're talking about? I'm assuming they sell additional liners separately?
Thanks for the info!

Yes, that the the kit you use, and they use the same liners that the bottles do. The package might come with a few liners, I don't remember.
I used them all the time which was fine since I didn't pump all that much but if you don't have a big freezer, they take up a lot more space than the bags that lie flat, but IMO have a lesser chance of leaking than the bags if they are closed properly.

Just so you know, CVS makes them as well. A little cheaper. I loved my Playtex drop-ins bottles and will be using them again!
