Breastfeeding moms who give occassional bottles (of breastmilk)
We do one in the middle of the night, and Sasha is fine with it- it does not affect her other feedings in terms of "nipple confusion".
I plan to wait til at least 4 weeks or so (depending on what my Ped says) before we introduce another bottle into the regimen, but was wondering what other people did. It would be great for DH to feed her more often.

We had to supplement with formula right away because of DS jaudice and then he had to have bottles at daycare when he went. He never had any nipple confusion. I nursed him in morning and at night during the week and every feeding on the weekend and he took bottles at daycare. He never had a problem.

If she has no nipple confusion yet - I would go ahead and introduce. In my experience - I had to supplement before even leaving the hospital due to DD's jaundice and she had no issues once we got home nursing and bottle feeding! HTH! It's so nice for mommy to get a break as you probably feel like a cow...in the nipple sense.

we supplemented from the very beginning because they were small. DS actually had latching issues at first, but now he is a pro - this is with bottles AND pacifiers since very early, so I'm not sure how much I buy the whole nipple confusion thing.

You're doing a great job. I wish I'd been more diligent with Eliza about giving her bottles early on because we just spent 2 weeks of HELL tryting to get her to take bottles.
If she's taking 1 bottle in a 24 hour period now, thats great. We did that with my first starting at about 2-3 weeks old. Just make sure you pump to replace those "missed" feedings to keep your supply up.
