BTDT moms: Potty Training & the beach

This might sound dumb.....
but how did you handle potty training at the beach?

We are planning to do a beach rental this summer and our DD might be trained by then, or might still be potty training. I don't think there are public restrooms, but I could be wrong, and I hate to have to keep walking back to the house every time. Would it be dumb to get like those beach tents and a portable potty???
